Fight the flu with this easy recipe using mandarins
There has been a long-standing debate as to whether or not we should take supplements. Spicy Mandarin Cider
Serves 4
Ingredients
1 ½ cups juice of fresh squeezed Wonderful Halos mandarins
1 ½ cups apple juice
¼ fresh squeezed lemon juice
¼ cup water
¼ cup honey
1stick cinnamon
1-star anise
1 teaspoon whole allspice
Method: Add strained mandarin and lemon juice to a saucepan. Then add all other ingredients. Heat over medium to low heat until honey has dissolved and juices are hot. Serve garnished with thinly sliced Wonderful Halos mandarins. For a grown-up version add a shot of bourbon, rum, whiskey or brandy.
